make a line of roller derby pads that actually fit derby girls and don't get in the way of movement
Make a line of Roller Derby pads that actually fit derby girls and don't get in the way of movement while skating. Most knee pads are made to thick and hit each other when you legs cross over while skating. Derby girls are just as tough as New York and we deserve pads that can put up with the constant pounding yet not inhibit our movement around the track.

Stay tuned for Spring 2012 as we’re introducing 2 brand new Roller Derby Specific products that we’ve had tested by the Gotham Girls. Nothing but great responses from them. Can’t wait for you to get your hands on them!!

make a full-face helmet.
A full-face helmet geared toward downhill skatboarding and speedboarding would be nice.

we’re exploring a few ways to do this. our last approach asked people to submit and rate designs. we’ll take a look at publishing our own designs for your feedback.

we’re exploring ways to do this. we are in the process of bringing to market a design proposed in our “design or die” helment design contest.

Sponsor some Longboarders/Downhill Skateboarders, Tripe 8 is the most common helmet in the sport.
I would love to see some different kind of skateboarders receiving some love from Triple 8

Hi Mitch! It’s a great idea and we’re definitely working on it. We’ve got a couple guys we work with currently and are always open for requests for sponsorship for any new up and comers. So we’re definitely showing some love to our dedicated longboarders out there.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Make Triple 8 gear available in South Africa
There is barely any protective gear available in South Africa and with the exponential growth that we are seeing in sports such as downhill skateboarding and roller derby at the moment there are huge oportunities for a brand like Triple 8.

We’ve got some plans in the works that you will probably be pretty stoked on. For the time being however, check out the orange rubber helmet that we did as a colab with Maloof Skateboarding: http://www.triple8.com/shop/product/Maloof-Special-Edition-Helmet

Stay tuned for early 2012. We’ve got a new wristguard that will be introduced in February that is similar to what you’re asking for.
